The project CRITHINKEDU, in partnership with the Foundation for Critical Thinking (USA) will organize an International Conference on Critical Thinking, to be held in Leuven between the 3rd to the 7th of June 2019.
Funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Program, the ‘Critical Thinking Across the European Higher Education Curricula – CRITHINKEDU’ project arises from the background and experience of 11 European Higher Education Institutions, businesses and Non-Governmental Organisations from 9 different countries, and from their ongoing concern to improve the quality of learning in universities across different professional fields. CRITHINKEDU aims to contribute for the solution to today’s societal challenges and will deliver a set of guidelines/recommendations for critical thinking development in Higher Education. The final event of the project is an international seminar for CT during which we will present the results of the project and interact with European policy makers. We are very delighted to announce that this international seminar will take place in close cooperation with the 39th Annual International Conference on Critical Thinking organized for the first time in Europe by the Foundation for Critical Thinking.
For 38 years, the Foundation for Critical Thinking has been working toward the advancement of critical societies. The Foundation is a non-profit organization that seeks to promote essential change in education and society throughout human societies, by cultivating explicit, systematic, fairminded critical thinking–thinking which embodies intellectual empathy, intellectual humility, intellectual perseverance, intellectual integrity and intellectual responsibility. The Annual International Conference on Critical Thinking is the longest running conference on critical thinking in the world.
